Student Advising Bilingual (English/Mandarin) Sales Customer Service Education Technology Remote Work Communication Problem-Solving Enrollment Management Team Collaboration

Dear Hiring Team,

I am excited to apply for the Student Advisor position at Think Academy US. With a Bachelor's degree in Education and over two years of experience in educational consulting, I have honed my ability to connect with parents and understand their children's academic needs. My fluency in both English and Mandarin allows me to effectively communicate with diverse families.

In my previous role, I successfully met enrollment targets by developing personalized learning plans and maintaining strong client relationships. I am particularly drawn to Think Academy's mission of using technology to enhance education. I am confident that my skills in sales, problem-solving, and collaboration will enable me to contribute to your team's success.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how I can support students and families at Think Academy.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]

Can you describe a time when you handled a difficult parent or client concern and how you resolved it?
In my previous role, a parent was upset about their child's course placement. I listened actively, empathized with their concerns, and explained the rationale behind the placement. I then offered a trial class to demonstrate the suitability, which led to the parent enrolling their child.
How do you prioritize tasks when managing multiple inquiries and enrollment targets simultaneously?
I use a CRM to track leads and set daily goals. I categorize tasks by urgency and potential conversion, focusing first on high-priority follow-ups. I also block time for proactive outreach and regularly review my progress to adjust priorities.
Why do you think bilingual skills are important in this role, and how would you leverage them?
Bilingual skills are crucial to effectively communicate with a diverse parent population. I would leverage my Mandarin and English to build rapport, explain course details accurately, and ensure no information is lost in translation, thereby improving customer satisfaction.
Describe a successful sales strategy you implemented to meet or exceed targets. What was the outcome?
I created a personalized follow-up system where I sent tailored course recommendations based on student assessments. This increased conversion by 20% within three months as parents appreciated the individualized attention.
This role requires working evenings and weekends. How do you maintain work-life balance and productivity?
I schedule my shifts to include evenings and weekends as needed, and I ensure I have dedicated time for rest and exercise. I use time management techniques like the Pomodoro method to stay productive during work hours.
