Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to express my strong interest in the Agency Sales Manager position at Hagerty. With over 5 years of experience in insurance sales and agency management, I have a proven track record of driving new business growth and building lasting relationships with agents and brokers. My consultative selling approach and ability to analyze performance data have consistently helped me exceed sales targets.

I am particularly drawn to Hagerty's mission of celebrating automotive enthusiasm and its reputation as the leader in collectible vehicle insurance. I am confident that my experience in territory management, event engagement, and cross-functional collaboration aligns perfectly with the requirements of this role. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to Hagerty's continued success.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]

Can you describe your experience in managing agency relationships and driving sales growth?
In my previous role as an Agency Sales Manager, I managed a portfolio of 50+ independent agencies. I developed business plans tailored to each agency's strengths, conducted regular training sessions, and organized joint sales events. This resulted in a 20% increase in new business written premium over two years.
How do you prioritize and manage your time when handling multiple agencies and events?
I use a combination of CRM tools like Salesforce and a prioritization matrix based on revenue potential and relationship strength. I allocate specific days for field visits, strategy calls, and administrative tasks. I also leverage data to identify high-impact activities and adjust my schedule as needed.
Tell me about a time you successfully resolved a conflict with an agency partner.
An agency owner was dissatisfied with our underwriting guidelines. I arranged a meeting with our underwriting team, listened to the agent's concerns, and found a compromise that allowed for more flexibility on certain policy types. This strengthened our partnership and led to increased referrals.
How do you stay informed about market trends and competitor activity?
I subscribe to industry publications, attend conferences like the Big I, and participate in online forums. I also conduct quarterly competitor analysis reviews with my team to identify gaps and opportunities. This information guides my territory strategy and helps me provide valuable insights to agents.
What strategies do you use to train and motivate agents to sell Hagerty products?
I believe in hands-on training combined with ongoing support. I create customized training materials, role-play scenarios, and provide sales scripts. I also recognize top performers with incentives and share success stories to inspire others. Regular check-ins ensure agents stay engaged and confident in selling our products.
