Key Skills

AEC BIM Revit Autodesk Forma Pre-Sales Technical Sales Solutions Consulting Architecture VDC Design Technology

I am writing to express my strong interest in the Technical Pre-Sales Specialist position at Autodesk. With over 5 years of experience in AEC technology and deep expertise in Autodesk Revit, I have a proven ability to bridge technical and business needs.

In my previous role, I led technical demonstrations and proof-of-concepts for enterprise architects and BIM managers, resulting in increased adoption of BIM workflows. I understand the challenges of early design stages and can articulate how Forma integrates into existing ecosystems.

I am excited about the opportunity to help customers evaluate and adopt Forma, and to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful outcomes. Thank you for considering my application.

How would you handle a customer who is skeptical about adopting a new cloud-based tool like Forma?
I would start by understanding their current workflow pain points and demonstrate how Forma addresses specific issues like early design exploration or performance analysis. I'd also provide case studies and facilitate a pilot with clear success criteria to build confidence.
Describe your experience with complex technical demonstrations involving multiple Autodesk products.
I have extensive experience creating integrated demos involving Revit, Dynamo, and Forma. For example, I once demonstrated how Forma's generative design outputs can be imported into Revit via Dynamo, showcasing a seamless workflow from concept to detailed design.
How do you prioritize your tasks when managing multiple customer engagements simultaneously?
I use a CRM system to track each engagement's stage and urgency, and I communicate proactively with stakeholders to set expectations. I prioritize based on deal size, adoption potential, and deadlines, ensuring each customer receives timely support.
Can you give an example of a technical objection you overcame during a sales process?
A customer was concerned about data interoperability between Forma and their existing Revit standards. I worked with our product team to create a custom script that automated the data mapping, proving it's possible and reducing their manual work by 80%.
How do you stay current with evolving Autodesk AEC products?
I actively participate in Autodesk's beta programs, webinars, and internal training sessions. I also follow industry blogs and forums to understand emerging trends and how our products fit into the broader AEC landscape.
