I am writing to express my enthusiasm for the Recruitment Advisor position at Life Without Barriers. With a strong background in high-volume recruitment and a passion for social impact, I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to your mission of supporting vulnerable Australians.

In my previous role, I successfully partnered with hiring managers to develop targeted sourcing strategies, resulting in timely hires for critical frontline roles. I thrive in fast-paced environments and am skilled at building collaborative relationships to ensure the right candidates are placed in positions that align with organizational values.

I am particularly drawn to Life Without Barriers' commitment to diversity and inclusion. My experience conducting probity checks and generating employment contracts ensures I can hit the ground running. I am also comfortable working remotely and am eager to bring my recruitment expertise to your team.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the possibility of discussing how I can support your recruitment needs and positively impact the communities you serve.

Can you describe your experience with high-volume recruitment and how you ensure quality while managing multiple openings?
In my previous role, I managed up to 20 active requisitions at a time. I prioritized by urgency and business impact, used an ATS to track candidates, and maintained a pipeline for common roles. Regular check-ins with hiring managers ensured we were aligned on quality standards.
How do you build relationships with hiring managers to understand their needs and influence their hiring decisions?
I schedule initial meetings to understand the role, team dynamics, and culture. I provide market insights and data-driven recommendations. I maintain open communication, share regular updates, and act as a trusted advisor, which helps build credibility and influence.
Describe a time you sourced candidates for hard-to-fill roles. What strategies did you use?
For a niche role, I used LinkedIn Recruiter to search for passive candidates, attended industry events, and engaged with professional groups. I also leveraged employee referrals and offered a referral bonus. This approach increased the candidate pool and led to a successful hire within 4 weeks.
How do you ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process?
I communicate clear timelines, provide constructive feedback after interviews, and keep candidates informed. I also personalize interactions and ensure the application process is straightforward. Post-hire surveys help me continuously improve.
This role values alignment with our social purpose. How would you assess a candidate's fit with our values?
I would ask behavioral questions about their motivation to work in non-profit, experience with vulnerable populations, and examples of demonstrating empathy and inclusion. I would also discuss our mission during interviews and gauge their enthusiasm and understanding.
