I am writing to express my strong interest in the GTM/Sales Onboarding Program Manager position at Motive. With extensive experience in designing and executing end-to-end onboarding programs for revenue teams in high-growth B2B SaaS companies, I am confident in my ability to create a seamless and motivating new hire experience.

My background includes facilitating interactive sessions using role-playing, certifications, and gamification to drive engagement and performance. I excel at collaborating with cross-functional teams to continuously improve program content and delivery.

I am particularly drawn to Motive's mission of empowering physical operations teams and its innovative AI-driven platform. I am eager to contribute to your enablement team and help your revenue organization thrive.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how my skills align with Motive's goals.

Describe your experience designing and running a sales onboarding program from scratch. What key elements did you include?
In my previous role at a SaaS company, I built a 4-week onboarding program that included product training, sales methodology sessions, role-playing exercises, and a certification. I incorporated gamification to boost engagement and tracked metrics like time-to-first deal and rep satisfaction. The program reduced ramp time by 20%.
How do you measure the effectiveness of an onboarding program?
I use a mix of quantitative metrics like time-to-productivity, quota attainment within 90 days, and retention rates, along with qualitative feedback from new hires and their managers. I also track participation and completion rates for each module. Post-onboarding surveys help identify areas for improvement.
Can you walk me through how you would facilitate a role-playing session for sales new hires?
I start by setting clear objectives and providing a brief scenario. I then pair participants and give them time to prepare. During the role-play, I observe and take notes, then lead a debrief focusing on strengths and areas for growth. I encourage peer feedback and repeat with different scenarios to build confidence.
How do you handle a new hire who is struggling with the onboarding content?
First, I reach out to understand their challenges, whether they're related to content comprehension, confidence, or learning style. I offer additional resources, one-on-one coaching, or adjust the pace if needed. I also collaborate with their manager to provide extra support and set achievable milestones.
Tell me about a time you improved an existing onboarding program. What changes did you make and what was the impact?
At my last company, I noticed new hires were overwhelmed by the amount of content. I restructured the program into smaller, weekly modules with more hands-on activities. I also introduced a mentorship component and a knowledge base for self-paced learning. This resulted in a 15% increase in early-stage productivity and higher satisfaction scores.
