Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to express my strong interest in the Customer Project Manager position at Philips. With over six years of experience managing complex projects in healthcare settings, I have honed the skills necessary to lead installation and upgrade projects for patient monitoring equipment. My background in engineering, combined with fluency in Danish and English, positions me well to build trust-based customer relationships and ensure successful project outcomes. I am eager to contribute to Philips' mission of improving healthcare access and quality.

Thank you for considering my application.

Describe a complex project you managed in a hospital environment. How did you handle scope changes or delays?
I led the installation of a new patient monitoring system at a large hospital. When a supplier delay threatened the timeline, I renegotiated priorities with the customer and adjusted the project plan, ensuring critical modules were installed first. I maintained transparent communication through daily updates, which preserved trust and minimized impact.
How do you prioritize tasks when managing multiple projects simultaneously?
I use a combination of project management software and regular stakeholder check-ins. I assess each project's urgency, impact on patient care, and customer deadlines. I also delegate effectively and set clear milestones, adjusting as needed based on real-time input from customers and team members.
Give an example of a time you resolved a difficult issue with a customer while maintaining a strong relationship.
A customer was unhappy with the performance of a monitoring system after installation. I arranged a face-to-face meeting, listened to their concerns, and collaborated with our technical team to identify a software fix. I provided a detailed action plan and followed up weekly. The customer appreciated the proactive approach and the issue was resolved without harm to the relationship.
How do you ensure project deliverables meet quality standards within budget and timeline?
I start with a detailed project plan that includes quality checkpoints and risk assessments. Regular progress reviews help catch deviations early. I also involve the customer in key milestones to ensure alignment. If trade-offs are needed, I communicate them transparently and seek agreement on adjustments.
This role requires travel across Denmark. How do you manage a field-based workload while staying connected to the team?
I schedule visits efficiently, grouping customer meetings by region. I use virtual tools for daily team stand-ups and maintain a shared project dashboard. I also make it a point to be in the office for key planning sessions or when face-to-face collaboration adds value.
