I am excited to apply for the Senior Quality Analyst position at Truelogic. With over 5 years of experience in manual QA and specialized LLM testing, I am confident in my ability to autonomously own the testing strategy for your AI-native audience insights tool. My background includes validating chat interfaces, iterating prompts to ensure accurate LLM responses, and collaborating closely with developers to troubleshoot data issues.

In my previous role, I worked as the sole QA engineer on a similar project, defining test plans and ensuring high-quality releases. I am adept at creating clear documentation and communicating effectively in daily scrums. I thrive in fast-paced environments and am comfortable working independently with full ownership of the QA process.

I am particularly drawn to this opportunity because of the chance to work with Palantir Foundry and cutting-edge AI technology. I am eager to bring my skills in data analysis, schema literacy, and proactive collaboration to your team. Thank you for considering my application.

Describe your experience with testing LLM-powered chat interfaces. How do you validate that the model's responses are accurate?
I have tested several LLM-based applications by creating test cases that cover various user intents and edge cases. I validate accuracy by checking the response against expected outputs, analyzing the reasoning for hallucinations, and iterating on prompts to improve precision. I also work with developers to fine-tune the model parameters.
As the only QA engineer on a project, how do you prioritize testing efforts and ensure coverage?
I start by understanding the most critical user flows and risk areas. I create a test plan based on requirements and previous defects. I use risk-based testing to prioritize high-impact areas, and I maintain a living document of test cases. I also leverage exploratory testing to uncover issues not covered by scripts.
How do you handle situations where you need to debug backend data or schema issues with developers?
I proactively review the data schemas and API responses. I document the exact steps to reproduce the issue and share logs or screenshots. I then work side-by-side with backend engineers to trace the problem, asking questions to understand the data flow and suggesting potential fixes.
Describe a time you had to communicate a complex technical issue to non-technical stakeholders. How did you ensure clarity?
In a past project, I identified a data inconsistency that affected reporting. I created a simple visual diagram showing the data flow and presented it in a meeting, focusing on the business impact. I avoided jargon and used analogies to explain the root cause. The stakeholders understood and approved the fix timeline.
What is your approach to creating structured QA documentation for a new project?
I start with a test plan that outlines the scope, test environments, and key test scenarios. I create detailed test cases using a template with preconditions, steps, and expected results. I also maintain a bug report log and a traceability matrix to ensure all requirements are covered. I update the documentation as the project evolves.
