Dear Hiring Team,

I am writing to express my enthusiasm for the Customer Service Representative position at Catawiki. With my fluency in Romanian and English and over two years of experience in customer service, I have developed strong communication and problem-solving skills that align with your requirements. I excel in fast-paced environments and am comfortable handling inquiries across multiple channels, including phone, email, and chat.

In my previous role at XYZ Company, I successfully managed customer disputes and complaints, ensuring high satisfaction rates while collaborating with different departments to improve service quality. I am particularly drawn to Catawiki's unique platform and the opportunity to work with passionate customers and colleagues in a diverse team.

I am flexible with working hours, including weekends and public holidays, and I am committed to delivering delightful experiences to your buyers and sellers. I would love to contribute to Catawiki's mission and help grow the community of special objects enthusiasts.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the possibility of discussing how I can add value to your team.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]

How would you handle a difficult customer who is unhappy with an auction outcome?
I would first listen actively to understand their concerns, empathize with their frustration, and then explain the auction process clearly. If there is a dispute, I would mediate by reviewing the facts and proposing a fair solution, such as a refund or replacement, while adhering to company policies.
Describe a time you managed multiple customer inquiries simultaneously. How did you prioritize?
In my previous role, I handled chats and emails simultaneously. I prioritized urgent issues like payment problems over general inquiries, and used templates for common questions to save time. I also set clear response time expectations for customers.
Why do you want to work at Catawiki specifically?
I am passionate about unique and extraordinary items, and I admire Catawiki's mission to make special objects accessible. The dynamic, fast-paced environment and the emphasis on customer delight resonate with my career goals.
How do you maintain a positive attitude when dealing with repetitive or stressful situations?
I focus on the impact of my work—helping customers find solutions. I take short breaks to reset, and I remind myself that each interaction is an opportunity to learn. Team support also helps me stay motivated.
Are you comfortable working weekends and public holidays as required?
Yes, I am flexible with my schedule and understand that customer service requires availability during peak times. I am willing to adjust my personal plans to meet business needs.
