Dear Hiring Team,
I am excited to apply for the Bilingual Quebec Licensed Insurance Advisor role at PolicyMe. With experience guiding clients through insurance decisions, managing high-volume inbound pipelines, and communicating fluently in French and English, I can provide the clear, empathetic support your customers need.
I would bring a consultative, customer-first approach to explaining life, critical illness, and health and dental coverage while maintaining disciplined follow-up in HubSpot across phone, email, and SMS. I am also motivated by PolicyMe’s mission to modernize insurance and would welcome the opportunity to contribute ideas that improve the customer experience.
Thank you for your consideration; I would value the opportunity to discuss how my licensing, communication skills, and ownership mindset can support PolicyMe’s growth.
Sample interview questions
I start by asking open questions about the client’s family situation, financial responsibilities, existing protection, and priorities. I then explain only the most relevant options in plain language, confirm their understanding, and document the recommendation and next steps clearly.
I use a structured daily workflow that prioritizes urgent applications, time-sensitive follow-ups, and leads with clear next actions. In HubSpot, I keep every interaction and task current, use reminders and sequences appropriately, and review pipeline health regularly so that no client is overlooked.
I acknowledge the concern without being defensive, clarify what is behind the objection, and provide an honest explanation of the product, pricing, eligibility, or process. If the product is not suitable, I would say so rather than pressure the client, because trust and suitability are essential in insurance.
I adapt my vocabulary and pace to the customer’s preferred language and avoid unnecessary technical terminology in both French and English. After explaining a concept, I ask the customer to summarize their understanding or invite questions to ensure the information is clear.
I would review the customer journey and relevant conversation history to identify the source of the friction, such as unclear communications or a workflow gap. I would share a specific, evidence-based improvement suggestion with my lead and teammates, test the change where appropriate, and monitor whether it improves completion or satisfaction.
Overview of the role:
We’re on a mission to modernize insurance, making it simpler, more accessible, and customer-first. The insurance industry is a $1T market that has remained largely untouched by the digital revolution, and PolicyMe is here to change that. As a remote-first, Toronto-based startup with big ambitions, we’re looking for a Bilingual Quebec Licensed Insurance Advisor to help us build the future of insurance in Canada and beyond.
On a typical day, you’ll be educating our customers on their insurance needs by answering challenging questions, dealing with advanced customer cases, and guiding them through our different products. You will be on the front lines of PolicyMe: managing all inbound leads through their policy applications, and ensuring they get the coverage they need (and feel good about the process) via phone, SMS and email!
How it is different from a typical insurance advisor role:
This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic and rapidly growing startup, with opportunity for upward mobility. Be involved in discussions across the organization on how to streamline operations, improve the customer experience and build innovative insurance products. Ride a wave of industry disruption, instead of fighting against it!
