Cover letter sample
Dear Testlio Hiring Team,
I am an active Uber driver in the Netherlands with hands-on experience using the Uber Driver app in real-world operating conditions. I am comfortable following detailed test instructions, documenting functional issues clearly, and providing actionable feedback through defect-tracking tools.
I have access to a compatible mobile device and can complete scheduled and ad-hoc testing sessions reliably. I would welcome the opportunity to help improve the driver experience for Uber users.
Sincerely,
Candidate
Sample interview questions
I would confirm the assigned scenario, use the Uber Driver app under the required conditions, and compare the actual behavior with the expected result. If I find an issue, I would capture relevant screenshots or screen recordings, note the device and app version, and submit clear reproduction steps through the designated tracking tool.
I would first review the test instructions and confirm that the behavior is not expected or caused by connectivity, account status, or an incorrect test step. I would repeat the scenario where possible and report the result accurately, including that no defect was found if the feature worked as intended.
I use the app while completing normal driving-related activities, so I can assess features in realistic conditions such as trip requests, navigation, earnings, notifications, and connectivity changes. This practical perspective helps me identify issues that may affect other active drivers.
I would reserve the requested testing time in advance and monitor the Testlio platform for weekly or ad-hoc assignments. If an unexpected conflict arose, I would communicate promptly through the appropriate channel rather than leaving a task incomplete without notice.
A strong report includes a concise title, preconditions, exact reproduction steps, expected and actual results, device details, operating system and app versions, frequency, and supporting evidence. This information enables the development team to understand, verify, and prioritize the issue efficiently.
