Cover letter sample

Dear Hiring Team,

I am excited to apply for the Sales Manager role in Trójmiasto. My background in B2B sales and partnership development has equipped me to identify high-potential merchants, manage complex pipelines, and close commercially sustainable agreements. I would bring a data-driven, consultative approach to expanding Wolt’s restaurant and retail partner base while collaborating closely with Account Management and Marketing teams.

I am particularly motivated by the opportunity to combine local market knowledge, strategic negotiation, and ownership in a fast-growing platform business. I am confident I can help build lasting merchant relationships and deliver measurable acquisition results for Wolt in northern Poland.

Sample interview questions
Tell us about a high-value B2B partnership you closed from prospecting through contract signature.

I would describe a specific strategic merchant or retail partnership, quantify the commercial value and sales-cycle length, explain how I mapped stakeholders and handled objections, and show how I structured terms that protected long-term profitability for both parties.

How would you prioritize restaurant and retail acquisition opportunities across the Trójmiasto region?

I would segment the market by merchant quality, consumer demand, category gaps, expected order volume, and strategic brand value. I would then prioritize accounts using a clear scoring model, maintain disciplined CRM stages, and review conversion and forecast data weekly to redirect effort quickly.

How do you negotiate partnership terms while maintaining a profitable and durable relationship?

I would prepare using partner economics, local competitive context, and a defined range of acceptable commercial terms. During negotiation, I would focus on mutual value—such as customer reach, operational support, and growth potential—while escalating only issues that materially affect unit economics or strategic fit.

Which metrics would you use to assess the health and effectiveness of a sales pipeline?

I would track leading indicators including qualified pipeline value, stage conversion rates, sales-cycle duration, meeting-to-proposal conversion, win rate, and forecast accuracy. I would pair these with quality measures such as projected merchant performance, onboarding readiness, and early retention.

How would you work with Account Management and Marketing to ensure a newly signed merchant succeeds after launch?

I would establish a shared handoff plan before signing, including commercial commitments, launch timing, operational requirements, marketing support, and named owners. I would remain engaged through onboarding, review early performance with Account Management, and use recurring feedback to improve future acquisition decisions.
