Dear Hiring Team,
I am excited to apply for the Associate Investigator, Trust and Safety role at Peerspace. My background in customer-facing operations and analytical case handling has prepared me to investigate suspicious activity, communicate clearly with users, and protect platform integrity with sound judgment and discretion.
I would bring a detail-oriented, resilient approach to reviewing fraud signals, identity and payment verification activity, content concerns, and chargeback disputes. I am especially drawn to Peerspace's commitment to building a safe, inclusive marketplace and continuously improving operational processes.
Thank you for your consideration. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how I can support the Trust & Safety team and the Peerspace community.
Sample interview questions
I would first review the available account, login, payment, and transaction data to understand the full context. I would compare the signals against internal policies and known fraud patterns, document objective findings, and take the appropriate action or escalate the case when the evidence or risk level requires it.
I prioritize cases by urgency, financial risk, and user impact while using approved workflows and templates for consistency. I still tailor each response to the facts of the case, document decisions clearly, and identify recurring issues that could be reduced through process or knowledge-base improvements.
I would use clear, neutral, and respectful language that explains the relevant policy or next step without disclosing sensitive internal detection methods. I would acknowledge the user's concern, provide any appropriate appeal or support path, and keep the message concise and factual.
I would gather complete, accurate evidence such as transaction details, communications, verification records, policy acknowledgments, and relevant booking information. I would organize the evidence chronologically, ensure it directly addresses the dispute reason, and submit it within the required deadline while preserving confidentiality.
I rely on policies, evidence, and documented procedures rather than assumptions, and I separate the facts of a case from emotional reactions. I use team escalation channels for difficult decisions, maintain healthy work routines, and seek feedback to improve judgment over time.
