Sample interview questions
I would use a structured triage queue with clear priority criteria, verify that each referral contains the required information, and document every routing decision. I would monitor service-level deadlines throughout the day, escalate incomplete or urgent cases to the appropriate clinical contact, and communicate realistic next steps to patients.
I would acknowledge the patient’s concern with empathy, explain what I can confirm without sharing unnecessary internal details, and provide a clear next action or timeframe. I would review the case immediately, coordinate with the responsible team where needed, and follow up proactively so the patient does not need to repeat their request.
I would access only the information needed for my task, use approved systems, verify recipients before sharing information, and follow internal procedures for secure documentation and escalation. I would avoid discussing patient details in unsecured channels and report any suspected privacy or security issue promptly.
I would identify repetitive, low-risk steps such as categorizing incoming requests, drafting standardized responses, or tracking missing documentation. After validating outputs and protecting sensitive data, I would create a simple workflow that reduces manual work, measure its accuracy and turnaround time, and refine it with team feedback.
I would not make assumptions or alter information without verification. I would compare the relevant records, identify the specific discrepancy, contact the appropriate billing, insurance, or clinical stakeholder through approved channels, document the action taken, and keep the patient informed when a response is required.
