Sample interview questions
I would trace the lead lifecycle from the HubSpot trigger through enrollment criteria, property values, workflow history, Salesforce sync status, and assignment rules. I would identify whether the failure is caused by data quality, integration mappings, workflow logic, permissions, or Salesforce-side automation, then implement a controlled fix and add monitoring or alerts to prevent recurrence.
I would first align with sales and marketing on the definition of a high-quality lead and analyze historical conversion data. I would test fit, engagement, intent, lifecycle, and behavioral signals, apply transparent scoring logic or predictive capabilities where appropriate, validate performance against conversion outcomes, and regularly recalibrate the model as campaigns and buyer behavior change.
I would establish clear property definitions, validation rules, standardized import templates, deduplication routines, ownership conventions, and regular quality audits. For GDPR, I would ensure consent and subscription data are correctly captured, retention and deletion processes are documented, access is role-based, and data flows between connected platforms are reviewed for compliance.
I would evaluate each request by business impact, urgency, risk, affected users, implementation effort, and strategic alignment. I would maintain a transparent backlog, resolve issues that disrupt lead flow or compliance first, and communicate decisions, timelines, and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders.
One useful use case would be an AI-assisted lead-enrichment and routing workflow that reviews firmographic and engagement context, flags incomplete records, suggests segmentation, and sends qualified leads to the appropriate team for human-approved follow-up. I would pilot it with defined accuracy, conversion, and time-saved metrics while applying data-security controls and human oversight.
