Sample interview questions
I use a structured checklist to compare the PO with the approved quote, contract terms, pricing, discounts, payment terms, delivery requirements, Incoterms, and required documentation. I flag deviations early, document them clearly, and route them through the correct approval matrix before the order is entered into the ERP.
I would identify the specific non-standard clauses, assess their operational and commercial impact, and summarize the issue in plain language for the appropriate stakeholders. I would coordinate review with Legal, Finance, Sales, and other owners, track the decision, and ensure the final approved position is retained in the order file.
I prioritize complete intake information, standardized checklists, clear approval paths, and transparent status tracking. This reduces back-and-forth while ensuring exceptions receive the right level of scrutiny before they create downstream fulfillment or billing issues.
I have used CRM data to validate opportunity, account, quote, and pricing information and ERP workflows to support clean order entry and documentation. I understand the importance of data consistency between systems and would quickly learn the organization’s specific Salesforce and ERP processes.
I would clarify the documented commercial facts, applicable policy, and delegated approval requirements rather than acting as the decision-maker. I would facilitate a timely escalation to the authorized stakeholders, capture the approved outcome, and communicate the next steps so the order can proceed with an auditable record.
