Sample interview questions
How would you use screening metrics to improve both talent quality and activation speed?

I would establish a baseline across passing rates, time in each screening stage, reviewer agreement, candidate drop-off, rework, and post-activation quality signals. I would segment the data by specialization and screening path, identify bottlenecks or inconsistent decisions, then test targeted changes such as clearer rubrics, calibrated exercises, or screener coaching. I would monitor results against predefined quality and speed guardrails before scaling a change.

Describe how you would manage inconsistent screening decisions across multiple screeners.

I would first audit a representative sample of decisions to identify whether inconsistency comes from unclear criteria, insufficient training, or execution gaps. I would run calibration sessions using shared candidate cases, update scorecards and decision examples, and provide focused coaching where needed. Ongoing QA sampling and reviewer-agreement reporting would confirm that the standards are being applied consistently.

How would you plan screening capacity for a new digital marketing specialization?

I would partner with the vertical lead and demand stakeholders to estimate applicant volume, expected pass-through rates, service-level targets, and the complexity of each screening stage. From there, I would model required reviewer hours, account for training and ramp time, and determine whether to hire, redeploy, or temporarily adjust workflows. I would review forecasts frequently after launch and make capacity decisions using actual volume and cycle-time data.

Tell us about a time you introduced an operational process improvement in a changing environment.

In a strong example, I would explain the operational problem with baseline data, gather input from affected teams, and pilot a simplified process or automation rather than making an untested broad change. I would communicate the rationale and expected impact clearly, track adoption and outcomes, and refine the approach based on feedback. This demonstrates change management, analytical judgment, and accountability for measurable results.

How would you handle a talent dispute or escalation involving a screening outcome?

I would acknowledge the concern promptly, review the decision against documented criteria and available evidence, and ensure the candidate received a fair and consistent evaluation. If a process or reviewer error occurred, I would correct it and identify the preventive action needed, such as rubric clarification or additional calibration. I would communicate the outcome professionally while protecting the integrity and confidentiality of the screening process.
