About this role.
Halter is hiring a founding Regional Sales Manager to establish its customer base for virtual-fencing technology in Oeste Arenoso, Argentina. The role owns the full sales cycle, including prospecting, farm visits, demonstrations, value-based selling, contract negotiation, and closing. This manager will build relationships with cattle farmers, coordinate post-sale handoffs with Customer Success, and provide market feedback to improve the product and sales process. As the region grows, the hire will help define quotas and commissions while coaching and developing future sales team members. Success requires at least five years of end-to-end sales experience, resilience in an ambiguous market-entry environment, Spanish fluency, working English, and preferably agricultural or beef-farming knowledge.

Sample interview questions
I would begin by mapping priority producers, influential farm advisors, industry associations, and relevant agricultural events. I would use referrals, targeted outreach, and on-farm visits to identify early adopters, qualify operational pain points, and create a disciplined CRM-based pipeline with clear next steps.
I would first understand the farm's grazing system, labor constraints, fencing costs, herd-management practices, and production objectives. I would then connect Halter's capabilities to measurable operational outcomes, validate assumptions through an on-farm demonstration, and build a business case that addresses both financial return and practical adoption.
In a challenging sale, I would focus on uncovering the customer's real objections rather than repeatedly presenting features. I would bring the appropriate evidence, stakeholders, implementation plan, and commercial options together, maintain consistent follow-up, and earn commitment by making the risk, value, and path to success clear.
I would document the customer's goals, decision criteria, operational context, stakeholders, commitments, and potential risks before closing. I would hold a structured handoff with Customer Success, introduce the implementation team to the customer early, and stay engaged through initial deployment to protect trust and confirm the promised value is being delivered.
I would learn the product and local market deeply, build a target-account and partner map, and spend substantial time meeting farmers in the field. I would establish qualification and pipeline routines, generate early demonstrations and proposals, share market insights with the wider team, and identify repeatable sales motions that can support future regional hiring.

About the role
This is a rare opportunity to be one of Halter’s first Regional Sales Managers (Oeste Arenoso), Argentina — one of the world’s great cattle nations — building our customer presence in the region from the ground up.
We’re looking for a go-getter who is out in the field, meeting farmers, championing Halter and converting them into our very first local customers. A ‘never give up attitude’ is crucial for this role; as our first sales hire on the ground, you will be a foundational contributor to the growth and success of Halter in Argentina.
You’ll be responsible for using your strong sales background to drive end-to-end sales, from cold calling and on-farm meetings to deeply understanding our customers’ farm systems. You’ll detail Halter’s value proposition, progress the sale, and ultimately close the deal. As the region scales, you’ll help shape how we set quotas and commissions, build sales capability, and mentor the team that follows you. Make your mark with Halter and help us push the boundaries of farming, connecting animals and humans like never before.
What your day could look like
Sourcing new leads and opportunities through proactive outreach, referrals/introductions, industry events and other channels, as well as fielding and responding to inbound inquiries.
Meeting high growth sales targets by managing pipeline through to close, including screening, qualifying, executing on-farm demonstrations and successfully negotiating contracts with customers.
Laying the groundwork for the local sales function — helping to set and manage quotas, commissions and other sales management tasks as the team grows.
Coaching, mentoring and developing future sales staff to help drive their professional growth and reach targets as we scale the region.
Collaborating with Customer Success to ensure successful post-sales handoff, implementations, customer satisfaction and account renewal.
Providing support, insight and communication to help build and foster trusting and enduring relationships with customers as they wait for deployment.
Leveraging opportunities and participating in relevant industry/Halter events and demonstrations.
Building and leveraging industry relationships to establish and maintain Halter’s brand in a brand-new market.
Focusing on the customer and their needs, providing feedback to help drive the product roadmap.
Working with the team to optimise and evolve the sales process to become faster, more efficient and more predictable as the company scales.
Who are we looking for
A complete end-to-end sales skill set with at least five years of experience.
Proven track records and examples of successfully sourcing new prospects, securing meetings with new leads and creating new sales opportunities.
Someone highly experienced in value-based sales with a proven history of closing deals and high-volume sales results.
Well-prepared with solid communication skills to present Halter’s value proposition.
Experience in beef farming or within the agricultural sector is highly desirable.
A person who is results-driven, highly motivated with exceptional time management skills.
Adaptability in a high-stakes sales environment and the ability to think on your feet — comfort with the ambiguity of building in a new market is a big plus.
Sales experience in the technology-based industry is preferred.
Fluency in Spanish, with professional working English to collaborate across our global team.
A university degree or equivalent would be excellent but not a must.
