Sample interview questions
I would segment accounts by current revenue, expansion potential, public-sector fit, industry, and buying readiness. I would then set coverage goals for renewals and expansion, identify named net-new targets, map partners and influencers, and review pipeline health weekly against monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
I begin by understanding the agency's mission, risk priorities, procurement process, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder landscape. I connect technical capabilities to measurable outcomes such as exposure visibility, risk reduction, operational efficiency, and audit readiness, while involving technical resources early to validate the solution.
I use clear opportunity stages, documented next steps, validated close dates, and mutual action plans. I inspect deal quality regularly with internal stakeholders, distinguish committed opportunities from upside, and adjust forecasts promptly when procurement, technical validation, or executive sponsorship changes.
I align on target accounts, solution positioning, roles, and joint account plans before pursuing an opportunity. I maintain regular pipeline reviews, enable partners with relevant sales and technical resources, and ensure accountability for next actions so the partnership adds coverage rather than creating duplicate activity.
I would first assess the gap by opportunity stage, likelihood, deal size, and time to close. I would create a focused recovery plan around high-probability deals, executive alignment, partner support, and accelerated prospecting, while communicating a realistic forecast and clear actions to leadership.
