Sample interview questions
I would segment the territory by referral potential, current relationship strength, specialty, and geographic access needs. I would define target account tiers, establish weekly activity and pipeline goals, map key decision-makers, and use referral data to prioritize accounts with the greatest expansion potential. I would review progress regularly and adapt outreach, education, and account plans based on results.
I would begin by understanding their patient-access challenges, clinical workflows, referral processes, and quality priorities before presenting a solution. I would use relevant data and patient outcomes to show how the service can reduce friction and improve access to appropriate care. Consistent follow-through, transparent communication, and coordination with internal clinical teams would reinforce trust over time.
In a prior role, I reviewed account activity and identified a high-potential segment with inconsistent utilization. After interviewing stakeholders, I found that they lacked clarity on the referral workflow. I created targeted education, simplified the process with internal partners, and monitored adoption metrics, resulting in sustained growth in account engagement.
I prioritize work based on revenue or referral potential, strategic account commitments, customer urgency, and the effort required to move opportunities forward. I time-block travel efficiently, maintain clear CRM next steps, and use a structured weekly review to ensure key accounts, pipeline development, and internal follow-ups do not slip. I also communicate early when cross-functional support is needed.
I would first validate the data and look for timing, specialty, workflow, or service-availability patterns. I would then meet with the partner to understand their perspective, listen for barriers, and align on a specific recovery plan such as staff education, referral-process improvements, or targeted patient-access support. I would set measurable follow-up milestones and share insights internally to address any operational issues affecting the experience.
