Sample interview questions
I begin by segmenting the partner landscape by strategic fit, addressable opportunity, buyer overlap, and execution readiness. For priority partners, I establish joint business plans with defined pipeline, revenue, enablement, and governance metrics, then run a consistent review cadence to identify blockers and accelerate opportunities.
I would align both organizations on ideal customer profiles, solution positioning, account-mapping rules, referral processes, and shared success measures. I would then enable sales teams with concise playbooks, create an opportunity-review rhythm, and use early wins to refine the motion and build broader field adoption.
At the executive level, I focus on shared strategic priorities, investment decisions, escalation paths, and long-term value creation. Operationally, I maintain clear owners, milestones, pipeline reporting, enablement plans, and regular working sessions so that executive commitments translate into action.
I would assess each initiative based on expected commercial value, required investment, time to activation, strategic differentiation, and fit with Toptal’s target customers. I would prioritize programs that unlock near-term GTM access while maintaining a roadmap for higher-effort initiatives with significant long-term value.
I create alignment through a shared business case, explicit outcomes, clearly assigned responsibilities, and transparent operating cadences. By connecting each team’s contribution to customer value and commercial results, while actively resolving dependencies and communicating progress, I build accountability without relying on formal reporting lines.
