Sample interview questions
I begin by separating observations from insights, then identify the behavioral tension, need, or barrier that matters most to the business objective. I validate it across available sources, articulate the implication for the brand, and translate it into a focused recommendation with clear channel, messaging, or experience considerations.
I would define the priority audience and decision context, collect behavioral, attitudinal, search, social, and channel data, and map stages from awareness through consideration, conversion, and loyalty. For each stage, I would identify motivations, barriers, touchpoints, high-intent moments, communication needs, and measurement opportunities.
I have experience working with audience and media intelligence tools such as GWI, MRI/Simmons, Kantar, social listening platforms, and competitive tools. I assess source methodology, sample relevance, recency, consistency with other signals, and whether the finding directly addresses the client question before using it in a recommendation.
I would lead with the business implication rather than the methodology, using a concise headline and a clear visual to show what changed or matters. I would then provide only the supporting evidence needed, explain any limitations plainly, and end with the recommended action.
I clarify the objective, expected deliverable, decision deadline, and level of rigor for each request before prioritizing. I communicate tradeoffs early, share interim findings where useful, maintain organized source documentation, and align stakeholders around a realistic delivery plan.
