Sample interview questions
I would begin with customer and partner journey data, including onboarding time, deployment failure rates, support volume, adoption, and revenue influence. I would prioritize the highest-leverage friction points while balancing near-term partner enablement with reusable platform capabilities, then validate the roadmap through clear outcome metrics.
I would define eligibility and security standards first, then create a guided self-service workflow for artifact submission, documentation, infrastructure requirements, validation, pricing, and publishing. The experience should automate repeatable checks, provide actionable failure feedback, and make readiness status visible to both the vendor and internal operations teams.
I would assess image or chart packaging, versioning, network and storage dependencies, identity and access controls, observability, upgrade paths, rollback behavior, and support ownership. I would also ensure compatibility with Kubernetes, APIs, infrastructure-as-code workflows, metering, licensing, and the platform’s security-validation requirements.
I would establish a structured taxonomy for failures, combine quantitative trends with qualitative support feedback, and identify recurring root causes. I would then turn validated patterns into prioritized improvements such as better preflight validation, clearer requirements, safer defaults, documentation updates, or automation in the partner publishing flow.
I would use a balanced scorecard covering partner onboarding velocity, time to first successful deployment, deployment success rate, active and retained partners, solution quality, customer adoption, support burden, and platform-influenced infrastructure usage. Metrics should be segmented by partner type and solution category so that the team can distinguish growth from sustainable ecosystem health.
