Sample interview questions
How would you turn a technical cybersecurity research dataset into a flagship report for security leaders?

I would begin by identifying the audience's most important decisions and questions, then analyze the data for meaningful patterns, risks, and unexpected findings. I would interview internal experts to validate the interpretation, develop a clear narrative arc, and package the insights with practical recommendations and supporting visuals. After publication, I would create derivative blog, social, and campaign assets to extend the report's reach.

Describe how you would improve an underperforming blog article using SEO and AEO practices.

I would review search intent, keyword coverage, rankings, engagement metrics, conversion paths, and competing results. I would then strengthen the article's structure, headings, direct answers, internal links, technical accuracy, and supporting examples while preserving editorial quality. I would measure the impact after publication and iterate based on organic traffic, visibility, and audience behavior.

How do you make a complex technical topic accessible without oversimplifying it?

I start by clarifying the audience's existing knowledge and the decision the content should support. I define technical terms in context, use concrete examples and a logical narrative, and remove jargon that does not add precision. I also work closely with subject-matter experts to ensure the final content remains accurate and credible.

How would you manage competing content requests from several internal teams?

I would establish an intake process with consistent criteria such as audience value, business priority, strategic alignment, available evidence, expected impact, and production effort. I would communicate priorities transparently through an editorial calendar and work with requesters to sharpen promising ideas. This creates a manageable pipeline while ensuring high-value stories receive the attention they need.

What role should AI tools play in an editorial content program?

AI can accelerate research, ideation, outlining, repurposing, metadata drafting, and optimization analysis, but it should not replace human judgment. I would use it within defined quality-control and security practices, verify factual claims against trusted sources, and ensure every piece reflects the brand's voice and subject-matter expertise. The goal is to increase editorial capacity while retaining accuracy, originality, and accountability.
