About this role.
Kalshi is seeking a high-output short-form communications professional to shape and run its reactive and proactive presence on X. The role partners closely with the co-founder and CEO to establish the voice across X accounts, monitor real-time sentiment and trends, and rapidly test content ideas. Success is defined by frequent iteration, experimentation, and consistent content production rather than virality alone. Relevant backgrounds include journalism, comedy, digital campaign strategy, prediction markets, and crypto communities, with longer-form writing available as an optional area of contribution.

Sample interview questions
I would begin with a concise voice framework covering audience segments, core messages, tonal boundaries, recurring formats, and examples of what to avoid. I would use a short approval and feedback loop with the CEO early on, then translate the learnings into repeatable principles that allow for faster independent execution.
I would assess relevance to Kalshi, factual certainty, regulatory and reputational risk, audience interest, and whether the brand has a genuinely useful perspective. If the opportunity is appropriate, I would draft concise options quickly, verify claims, obtain approval when needed, and monitor responses after publishing.
I would track posting consistency, quality engagement such as replies and shares from relevant audiences, follower growth, sentiment, click-throughs where applicable, and the learning velocity from content experiments. I would also review whether content improves understanding of Kalshi and builds a recognizable, credible brand voice over time.
I would isolate the single most interesting implication, lead with plain language, and use a concrete example rather than financial jargon. I would then test variants with different hooks, such as a timely cultural reference, a surprising data point, or a direct question, while ensuring the explanation remains accurate.
A strong answer would explain the original hypothesis, the performance signals that challenged it, and the specific adjustment made to format, tone, timing, or audience targeting. It should conclude with measurable results and a clear lesson that was applied to later content.
What is Kalshi?
Kalshi has defined a new category: prediction markets. Kalshi allows people to trade on the outcome of any events and turn any question about the future into a financial asset. Kalshi fought for years and legalized prediction markets in the US for the first time in history, is currently the fastest growing financial market in America, and has thousands of markets across politics, economics, financials, weather, tech, AI, culture and more.
We believe prediction markets have the potential to be the largest financial market because they turn anything into a financial position.
Our vision: well… build the largest financial market on the planet.
Our mission: bring more truth to the world through the power of markets.
Our culture is simple: we hire really talented people, work really hard, and enjoy the climb. We are looking for ambitious and exceptional people to join our (relatively small) team to help us build the next generation of financial markets.
We’ll keep this one short.
What you’ll do –
Run our reactive and proactive comms, primarily on X
Work alongside our co-founder and CEO to determine our voice across X accounts
Spend your day on X – understanding what current sentiment is, what’s trending, and where opportunity exists
Churn out content all the time – ‘success’ is not virality (although that never hurts), but how often you iterate on your approach and how experimental you’re willing to be
Bonus: if you’d like to work on longer form think pieces or blog posts, we’re open to that
Who you are –
You already spend ~75%+ of your waking hours on X
You run a personal or business account on X already
You are (ideally) willing to work in our NY office – but willing to make an exception here if necessary to find the right person
Additionally –
While experience in crypto/CT is helpful, we also place preference on: a) ex-journalists b) anyone with a background in comedy c) experts in prediction markets d) digital campaign strategists
Our Culture
Meritocracy is at our core, and we value people who take ownership and figure (usually hard) things out. We dream big. We love our craft deeply and are proud of what we put out in the world. We are committed to our vision of building something big… but also useful: a product that brings more truth through the power of markets.
Kalshians are Kalshi’s most important asset: we pick Kalshians carefully, so we trust them fully on day 1.
Commitment to Equal Opportunity
Kalshi is committed to creating a culture of inclusion and belonging, and we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We believe it is our collective responsibility to uphold these values and encourage candidates from all backgrounds to join us in our mission. All qualified applicants will be treated with respect and receive equal consideration for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, uniform service, veteran status, age, or any other protected characteristic per federal, state, or local law. If you are passionate about what you do and want to use your talents to support our mission and values, we’d love to hear from you.
