Sample interview questions
How would you approach auditing and prioritizing improvements to an existing knowledge base?

I would combine support-ticket themes, search and article analytics, customer feedback, and input from Support, Product, and Implementation teams. I would then rank gaps by customer impact, frequency, product risk, and effort, and maintain a visible backlog with milestones and owners for review.

How do you turn a Jira ticket into customer-facing documentation?

I first identify the user-facing change, intended workflow, prerequisites, and edge cases from the ticket. I validate my interpretation through product testing and SME review, then write a task-oriented article with clear steps, expected outcomes, troubleshooting guidance, and screenshots where useful.

What principles guide your design of self-service onboarding modules?

I focus on the learner's real jobs to be done, break content into short task-based modules, and use progressive disclosure so users can learn only what they need at the moment. Each module should have a clear objective, practical walkthrough, contextual tips, and a way to verify successful completion.

How would you structure content so it is useful to both human readers and AI agents?

I would use consistent titles, headings, terminology, metadata, and concise task-based sections. I would make prerequisites, steps, exceptions, and outcomes explicit, avoid ambiguous wording, and link related concepts so retrieval systems and users can identify the most relevant answer reliably.

How do you maintain accuracy when documentation changes quickly?

I establish review checkpoints with relevant SMEs, test workflows in the application where possible, and maintain a change log tied to product releases or Jira references. I also define content ownership and review dates so outdated articles can be identified and refreshed systematically.
