Sample interview questions
How do you turn a client’s business objective into a full-funnel paid social strategy?

I begin by clarifying the primary business KPI, target audience, sales cycle, budget, and measurement constraints. I map awareness, consideration, and conversion tactics to the objective, define platform roles and KPIs for each stage, and establish a testing roadmap. I then monitor both platform and business outcomes and adjust investment based on incrementality, efficiency, and learning quality.

Describe your process for optimizing an underperforming Meta campaign.

I first validate tracking, attribution settings, delivery status, and creative or audience setup before making optimization decisions. I review performance by campaign, ad set, audience, placement, creative asset, and conversion event to isolate the likely constraint. I prioritize structured changes such as refreshing creative, testing audience or bidding approaches, adjusting budget allocation, and documenting each hypothesis and result.

How would you ensure that campaign measurement and tracking are accurate?

I use a pre-launch QA checklist covering naming conventions, URLs and UTMs, pixels, events, conversion definitions, audiences, and budget settings. I validate implementation in tools such as Events Manager and Pixel Helper, compare platform signals with analytics where appropriate, and escalate server-side or data-layer gaps to measurement specialists. After launch, I regularly review event volume and discrepancies to identify issues early.

What creative testing framework would you use for a paid social account?

I would start with a clear hypothesis tied to a customer insight, such as testing different hooks, value propositions, formats, or calls to action. I keep test variables controlled where possible, define success metrics in advance, and run tests with sufficient budget and duration for actionable results. Winning elements are documented and scaled into subsequent concepts, while learnings inform the next testing cycle.

How do you communicate performance results and recommendations to clients?

I present results in relation to agreed business KPIs rather than platform metrics alone. I explain what changed, why it likely happened, what we learned from tests, and the specific actions recommended next. I keep reporting concise, transparent about limitations, and supported by clear visualizations and a prioritized action plan.
