Sample interview questions
I review the company’s business model, industry, current initiatives, and likely integration challenges. I identify relevant stakeholders, form a clear hypothesis about how our solution could help, and personalize the opening message around that hypothesis.
I would respectfully clarify whether the timing, priority, or perceived relevance is the issue. If there is a genuine future use case, I would ask permission to follow up at a more suitable time and record the context accurately in Salesforce.
A qualified lead should have a relevant business need, an appropriate company profile, a stakeholder or path to a decision-maker, and sufficient interest to explore the solution further. I would document the pain points, current process, timeline, and next steps before handover.
I focus on controllable inputs such as outreach quality, activity consistency, and learning from objections. I use performance data to refine my messaging and treat each rejection as information rather than a personal setback.
I would avoid unnecessary jargon and start with the business outcome, such as reducing manual data work, improving accuracy, and connecting systems or trading partners more efficiently. I would then ask questions to relate those outcomes to the prospect’s specific workflow.
