Sample interview questions
I first identify the issues, requested remedy, relevant contractual terms, and response deadline. I gather and organize the complete record from internal systems and stakeholders, assess facts against applicable policy and legal requirements, and prepare a concise draft for counsel review that addresses each material allegation.
I maintain a centralized matter tracker with owners, deadlines, status, and next actions, then use calendar reminders and recurring reviews to identify risks early. I prioritize statutory, court, and agency deadlines first, communicate dependencies promptly, and document completion in the matter-management system.
I have supported document collection by defining custodians and relevant sources, coordinating preservation and collection, organizing responsive materials, and conducting quality checks for completeness and confidentiality. I work closely with counsel to follow production specifications and maintain an auditable record of the process.
I would use plain language to summarize the issue, affected customers or operations, likelihood and potential impact, and recommended action. I would avoid unnecessary legal jargon, use concise metrics or examples where useful, and clearly identify the decision or support needed from leadership.
I would use approved AI tools to accelerate tasks such as research, initial document review, and draft organization, while protecting confidential information and following company policy. I would independently verify legal authorities, factual statements, citations, and final work product before relying on any AI-generated output.
