Sample interview questions
How would you assess and improve an existing partner deal-registration and attribution process?

I would first map the current workflow from partner submission through opportunity creation, approval, attribution, and payout. I would analyze conversion, approval time, duplicate rates, disputes, and revenue influence by partner type, then prioritize controls and automation that improve data quality while keeping the partner experience simple.

What metrics would you include in an executive dashboard for a global partner ecosystem?

I would include sourced and influenced pipeline and revenue, partner-sourced win rate, deal-registration volume and conversion, active partner count, enablement and certification completion, program-tier progression, pipeline aging, and data-quality measures. I would segment these metrics by region, partner type, tier, route to market, and strategic alliance.

Describe how you would align Partner Operations with Sales Operations and RevOps.

I would establish shared operating definitions for accounts, partner roles, sourced versus influenced revenue, attribution, territory treatment, and compensation eligibility. Regular governance with common KPIs, system ownership, and a prioritized roadmap ensures partner data is integrated into the core sales process rather than managed in a disconnected workflow.

How do you decide whether to configure an existing PRM capability or invest in a new partner technology?

I would begin with the business outcome, user journey, integration requirements, adoption constraints, and total cost of ownership. After identifying process gaps, I would compare configuration options against vendor capabilities, implementation effort, data-governance needs, and measurable impact, then pilot the highest-value solution before broad rollout.

How would you support a rapidly evolving partner program without creating operational complexity?

I would create standardized program rules, tier criteria, eligibility logic, approval paths, and documentation that can be centrally governed and consistently automated. I would phase changes through controlled pilots, communicate clearly to partners and internal teams, monitor adoption and exceptions, and use feedback and performance data to refine the program.
