Sample interview questions
I begin by identifying the clinical insight, audience barrier, and single most important behavior or perception the campaign must shift. I then translate the evidence into a clear narrative territory, develop several concept routes with my art partner, and validate each against the brand strategy, regulatory context, and practical execution needs.
I connect the recommendation back to the brief, audience insight, and stated business objective rather than defending it as personal preference. I explain the intended story flow, tone, and differentiation, listen closely to the concern, and offer focused revisions when they strengthen the work without compromising the strategic idea.
I establish clear creative priorities at project kickoff, identify information gaps early, and create review points before work reaches critical stages. I also align closely with account, project management, strategy, and art partners so that risks are surfaced quickly and the team can make timely decisions.
I provide specific, timely feedback that explains both what needs improvement and why it matters to the brand or audience. I balance direct coaching with opportunities for writers to own meaningful work, helping them recognize their strengths while building stronger strategic and craft judgment.
I would rapidly absorb the market, science, competitive landscape, and client challenge, then help shape a persuasive narrative that demonstrates both strategic understanding and creative ambition. My contribution would include developing the central idea, refining the verbal presentation, and ensuring every creative element clearly supports the pitch's business case.
