B2B Sales Cold Calling Negotiation CRM Software Restaurant Industry Outbound Sales Business Development Communication Skills Microsoft Office Target-driven

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am excited to apply for the Business Development Representative position at TheFork. With over 4 years of experience in B2B sales and a passion for the restaurant industry, I am confident in my ability to drive growth and build strong relationships with restaurant owners.

In my previous role, I consistently exceeded targets by leveraging cold-calling and virtual meetings to close deals. My strong negotiation skills and familiarity with CRM software make me a perfect fit for this role.

I am particularly drawn to TheFork's mission of connecting diners with restaurants and its people-first culture. I am eager to contribute to your team and help restaurants thrive using your innovative products.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to discussing how my experience aligns with your needs.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]

Can you describe your experience with the 360 sales cycle and how you manage each stage?
I have 4+ years of experience managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing. I start by researching and identifying potential clients, then reach out via cold calls or emails to schedule meetings. During meetings, I present tailored solutions, handle objections, and negotiate terms. I use CRM to track progress and follow up consistently until the deal is closed. After closing, I ensure a smooth handoff to the account management team.
How do you handle rejection or objections during cold calls?
I view objections as opportunities to understand the prospect's needs better. I listen actively, acknowledge their concerns, and provide relevant information or examples to address them. If they are not interested, I politely ask for a better time to reconnect or ask for referrals. I maintain a positive attitude and learn from each interaction to improve my approach.
What strategies do you use to exceed sales targets consistently?
I set clear daily and weekly goals, prioritize high-potential leads, and use time management techniques to maximize productivity. I continuously refine my pitch based on feedback and market trends. I also leverage CRM data to identify patterns and focus on sectors with higher conversion rates. Additionally, I stay motivated by celebrating small wins and learning from losses.
Describe a time when you successfully closed a difficult deal. What was your approach?
In my previous role, I had a prospect who was hesitant due to budget constraints. I arranged a demo highlighting the ROI of our solution, including case studies from similar companies. I offered a flexible payment plan and a trial period to reduce risk. By building trust and demonstrating value, I was able to close the deal, which became one of our long-term clients.
Why are you interested in working for TheFork specifically?
I am passionate about the restaurant industry and love food. TheFork's mission to connect diners with restaurants and its innovative technology excite me. I admire the company's people-first culture and commitment to diversity. I believe my sales skills and industry knowledge can contribute to TheFork's growth while allowing me to grow professionally.
