With over five years of experience in construction industry sales, I have developed strong skills in account management, market analysis, and building long-term customer relationships. My ability to identify growth opportunities and drive sales for product portfolios aligns with the key responsibilities of this role.

In my previous role, I successfully managed a territory that included merchant partners and contractors, consistently exceeding sales targets by 15%. I am proficient in using Excel and CRM tools to analyze data and inform strategic decisions. I am also comfortable working independently and collaborating with marketing teams on promotional events.

I am particularly drawn to Genuit Group's commitment to sustainability and innovation in water and climate solutions. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to your team and help grow the Genuit product portfolio in Connacht.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]

Can you describe your experience with solution selling in the construction industry?
I have over 5 years of experience selling construction products to merchants and contractors. I focus on understanding customer needs and providing tailored solutions, such as recommending specific drainage systems for a project, which increased customer satisfaction and repeat business.
How do you prioritize tasks when managing multiple accounts and prospects?
I use a CRM to track interactions and set reminders. I prioritize based on account potential and urgency, allocating more time to high-value accounts and time-sensitive opportunities. I also review weekly goals to ensure balanced coverage.

In my previous role, I introduced a new line of sustainable piping to my territory. I trained merchants on its benefits and provided samples to contractors. Within six months, the product accounted for 20% of my sales, exceeding targets.
How do you handle a situation where a customer is dissatisfied with a product or service?
I listen actively to understand the issue, empathize, and then work with the customer to find a solution, such as arranging a replacement or offering a discount. I follow up to ensure satisfaction and document the issue to prevent recurrence.
What strategies do you use to monitor market activity and identify opportunities?
I regularly attend industry events, read trade publications, and network with contractors. I also analyze sales data to spot trends. For example, I noticed a rise in demand for eco-friendly products and adjusted my pitch accordingly.
