With a strong background in contract negotiation and a passion for working in fast-paced, innovative environments, I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to a team that is building the future of investment research.

In my previous role, I successfully managed the full lifecycle of commercial contracts, from NDAs to complex agreements, and developed creative solutions for novel legal challenges. I thrive in environments that demand ownership, rapid growth, and collaboration across teams.

I am particularly drawn to YipitData's people-centric culture and the chance to work on high-impact projects that drive real business outcomes. I am confident that my legal expertise and proactive approach would make me a valuable asset to the SpendHound commercial team.

Can you describe your experience negotiating commercial contracts, particularly in a SaaS or technology environment?
I have over 5 years of experience negotiating SaaS agreements, including master subscription agreements, NDAs, and data processing addendums. I focus on balancing legal risk with business needs, ensuring deals close efficiently while protecting the company's interests.
How would you approach a novel legal issue that hasn't been addressed by existing frameworks?
I would first analyze the underlying business objective and risks, then research relevant laws and industry practices. Collaborating with stakeholders, I would develop a creative solution that aligns with company policies and regulatory requirements, documenting the framework for future use.
Describe a time you had to manage multiple high-priority deals simultaneously. How did you prioritize?
In a previous role, I handled up to 10 active deals at once. I prioritized based on deal value, urgency, and stakeholder needs. I communicated clear timelines and used project management tools to track progress, ensuring no deal fell through the cracks.
How do you stay updated on changes in data privacy laws that could affect commercial contracts?
I subscribe to legal updates from firms like IAPP and attend webinars. I also participate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions and regularly review our contract templates to ensure compliance with laws like GDPR and CCPA.
