Describe your experience with commercial litigation matters.
I have handled a variety of commercial disputes including breach of contract, shareholder disputes, and fiduciary duty claims. I manage cases from initial pleadings through discovery, motions, and settlement or trial, ensuring compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
How do you manage multiple deadlines in a litigation practice?
I prioritize tasks based on urgency and court deadlines, use case management software to track important dates, and communicate regularly with my team to ensure coverage. I also break larger tasks into smaller steps to stay on track.
Can you tell me about a time you appeared in court?
In a recent breach of contract case, I attended a procedural hearing to argue a motion for an extension of time. I prepared a brief, presented oral arguments, and successfully obtained the extension, which allowed additional time for discovery.
How do you handle difficult clients or opposing counsel?
I maintain professionalism and focus on the legal issues. With clients, I listen to their concerns and set realistic expectations. With opposing counsel, I aim for courteous communication while advocating vigorously for my client's position.
What is your experience with e-discovery and document review?
