Sample interview questions
I have led multiple API modernization projects, including migrating legacy systems to RESTful APIs. For example, at my previous company, I oversaw the integration of Sabre and Amadeus APIs, which improved data retrieval speed by 30% and reduced error rates.
I use a combination of data analysis, stakeholder input, and strategic alignment. I evaluate features based on potential revenue impact, customer value, and resource requirements. I also leverage frameworks like RICE scoring to ensure objective prioritization.
At my last role, I managed a hotel content optimization project from proof of concept to full rollout. I coordinated with engineering, data science, and commercial teams to define requirements, secured executive buy-in with a comprehensive business case, and delivered the solution on time, resulting in a 15% increase in booking conversion.
I regularly follow industry reports from Phocuswright and Skift, attend conferences like The Beat Live, and maintain a network of industry peers. I also analyze internal data and customer feedback to identify emerging patterns.
I believe in transparent and value-driven partnerships. I would schedule regular check-ins to understand their goals and challenges, share our platform roadmap, and collaborate on mutually beneficial initiatives. For example, I once partnered with a major hotel chain to co-create a dynamic pricing feature that increased both our sales and their occupancy rates.
