I am excited to apply for the Senior Manager, Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering position at TE Connectivity. With extensive experience in metals manufacturing and process engineering, I have successfully led global teams to develop and implement robust manufacturing solutions. My expertise in machining, plating, stamping, and hermetic processes aligns perfectly with the requirements of this role. I am particularly drawn to the opportunity to drive technology roadmaps and improve productivity across the organization. I look forward to contributing to TE's mission to create a safer, sustainable, and more connected world.

Describe your experience leading global manufacturing engineering teams and driving technology roadmaps.
I have led a global team of 20+ engineers across three continents, developing and executing technology roadmaps that improved process capability and reduced costs by 15%. I focused on standardizing equipment and implementing automation solutions.
How have you applied Lean Six Sigma to improve manufacturing processes?
I am a certified Black Belt and have led multiple Kaizen events that reduced cycle times by 30% and defect rates by 50%. I use DMAIC methodology to systematically identify root causes and implement sustainable improvements.
Can you provide an example of a complex manufacturing challenge you resolved in metals processing?
In a previous role, we faced high scrap rates in a stamping process due to material variability. I led a cross-functional team to optimize tooling design and implement real-time monitoring, reducing scrap by 40% and saving $1.2M annually.
What is your approach to new product introduction and ensuring manufacturing readiness?
I advocate for early involvement in product design to ensure manufacturability. I establish clear milestones for process development, validate through design of experiments, and conduct rigorous qualification runs before launch.
How do you prioritize technology investments across a global network?
I use a structured portfolio approach, evaluating each investment based on ROI, strategic alignment, and risk. I involve site leaders to ensure buy-in and focus on technologies that drive both short-term productivity and long-term capability.

At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.
