Dear Hiring Manager,
I am excited to apply for the Principal Engineering Technology Project Manager position at TE Connectivity. With over 10 years of experience managing complex hardware development projects in AI, datacenter, and telecom sectors, I bring a strong track record of driving technology roadmaps and leading cross-functional teams to successful outcomes. My PMP certification and deep understanding of Stage-Gate processes align perfectly with the requirements for this role.
I have successfully led technology transfer initiatives and collaborated with external partners to accelerate innovation. My expertise in project scheduling, resource planning, and risk management, combined with hands-on manufacturing knowledge, enables me to deliver results in fast-paced environments. I am eager to contribute to TE Connectivity's mission of creating a safer, sustainable, and connected future.

Sample interview questions
In my previous role, I led a project to develop a new high-speed cable assembly for datacenter applications. We used TRL assessments to track progress from concept to production. I coordinated with R&D, manufacturing, and external partners to ensure smooth technology transfer, resulting in a product that met all performance metrics and was launched on schedule.
I collaborate with business unit leaders and technical experts to understand strategic goals. Then, I facilitate workshops to map out technology needs against capabilities and timelines. I use tools like Microsoft Project to create visual roadmaps and regularly update them based on market feedback and resource availability.
I managed a team spanning the US, Europe, and Asia. Communication was a challenge due to time differences and cultural nuances. I established a rotating meeting schedule to ensure all regions had a voice, and used asynchronous communication tools like shared documents and project boards. I also invested time in building personal relationships to foster trust.
I have extensive experience applying Stage-Gate in new product development. For example, I implemented a gated review process that required clear deliverables at each stage. This helped identify risks early, allocate resources efficiently, and improve overall project success rates by 20% within the first year.
I would start by assessing current practices and identifying gaps through surveys and interviews. Then, I would pilot new tools like JIRA or Asana for task tracking and dashboards for visibility. I would also create training sessions to ensure adoption and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.
