I am particularly drawn to this role because of the opportunity to work remotely and contribute to Dealer.com's Premium SEO/GEO services. I have extensive experience with tools like SEMrush, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics, and I am skilled at translating data into actionable insights. Sample interview questions
I have conducted technical SEO audits using tools like Screaming Frog and SEMrush, identifying issues such as crawl errors, duplicate content, and site speed problems. I prioritize based on impact and effort, focusing first on issues that directly affect crawlability and user experience, such as robots.txt blocks or broken links. I then create a roadmap and collaborate with developers to implement fixes.
For local SEO, I ensure each location has a consistent NAP across citations, optimize Google Business Profiles with relevant categories, photos, and posts, and build local backlinks. I also monitor local keywords and use tools like Local Falcon to track visibility. For multi-location businesses, I create a strategy that balances corporate guidelines with local-specific content and reviews.
I would first listen to the client's concerns and acknowledge their frustration. Then, I would present data showing recent trends, contextualize any algorithmic changes or industry factors, and highlight any wins. I would clearly explain the actions we've taken and outline a concrete strategy with realistic timelines. I would also set expectations that SEO is a long-term process and offer to adjust tactics if needed.
I prioritize organic traffic, keyword rankings, conversion rate, and leads generated, as these directly tie to business goals. I also track engagement metrics like bounce rate and time on page, along with technical metrics like page speed and crawl errors. It's important to tie SEO efforts to revenue, so I use form submissions and e-commerce conversions to measure true success.
I regularly follow industry blogs like Moz, Search Engine Journal, and Google's official updates. I also participate in webinars and team knowledge sessions. For generative engines, I experiment with how content appears in AI-generated answers and focus on creating clear, authoritative content that follows structured data and natural language patterns. I also test prompts and track metrics like LLM visits.
