Cover letter sample
Dear Hiring Team,
I am excited to apply for the SEO/AEO Content Specialist contract role at Cloudinary. I bring a strong content-SEO foundation across keyword research, on-page optimization, content refreshes, and performance measurement, paired with an AI-native approach to producing and improving content efficiently.
I am comfortable working in rapid experiment cycles, publishing at a consistent cadence, and using tools such as Semrush and Claude to identify opportunities and turn insights into measurable results. I would welcome the opportunity to help Cloudinary strengthen its SEO and GEO/AEO content engine through high-quality English-language content, disciplined testing, and clear ownership of outcomes.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sample interview questions
I would combine performance and opportunity data: declining clicks or rankings, high-impression/low-CTR pages, outdated content, conversion relevance, and gaps against current search and AI-answer intent. I would prioritize pages with meaningful business value and a realistic path to improvement, then document the hypothesis and expected metric impact.
I start with a core topic and map related informational, commercial, and problem-based queries by intent, difficulty, relevance, and business value. I group semantically related terms into a pillar-and-supporting-page structure, define internal links, and assign each page a distinct primary intent to avoid cannibalization.
It means making content easy for AI-driven search systems to understand, retrieve, and cite. I use direct answers, clear headings, concise definitions, structured facts, credible sources, unique expert insight, and well-organized supporting detail while maintaining strong traditional SEO fundamentals.
I use AI to accelerate research, outlining, content-gap analysis, drafting variants, and repetitive workflow steps, but retain human accountability for factual accuracy, brand voice, originality, search intent, and final editing. I also build repeatable prompts and quality checks so speed does not create inconsistent output.
I establish a baseline and connect each content release or refresh to defined metrics such as indexed pages, rankings, organic impressions, clicks, engagement, conversions, and assisted pipeline where available. I log the hypothesis, implementation date, and results in an experiment tracker, while accounting for seasonality and other site changes.
About the role
We’re the Growth Marketing team. We move fast, run experiments (a lot of them), and measure everything. SEO + GEO is our engine, and we ship weekly. We’re looking for someone who lives in content, thinks in keywords, and treats AI as a teammate.
What you’ll do
Ship content, fast. Upload, publish, and update content at a high, steady cadence.
Keep content winning. Refresh existing pages for SEO and GEO/AEO — AI engines love freshness, and so do we.
Do the research. Keyword and cluster research, gap-hunting, and 1:1 position analysis to feed the content engine.
Work AI-native. Use content bots, automations, and tools (Profound, Semrush, Claude) to move faster and smarter every week.
Own your KRs. Track what you ship, tie it to impact, and log it in the experiments sheet.
What you bring
Native-level English — flawless writing and editing, no exceptions.
Speed. You’d rather ship, learn, and iterate than sit on a draft.
SEO fluency. Keyword research, on-page optimization, and content structure are second nature.
AI-native mindset. You already build with AI tools and want to push them further.
Ownership. You care about the numbers, a lot!
Bonus points
Experience with GEO/AEO (optimizing for AI search).
Comfort with automation, prompts, and lightweight content tooling.
A track record of quick wins — content that ranked fast.
How we work
Weekly ships. Real KRs. Experiments over opinions. If you like seeing your work go live and climb the rankings within the same month, you’ll fit right in. 🚀
