Sample interview questions
Describe a strategic ISV partnership you scaled from planning through measurable revenue impact.

I would explain the partner opportunity, joint value proposition, executive alignment, GTM plan, and operating cadence. I would quantify outcomes such as sourced pipeline, influenced revenue, activated sellers, marketplace transactions, or customer wins, while noting how I adjusted the plan based on performance data.

How would you create a joint GTM plan with an ISV partner and internal product, marketing, and sales teams?

I would start with shared customer segments, use cases, differentiation, and revenue goals. I would then define offers, co-sell plays, ownership, enablement, campaign activities, success metrics, and a regular governance cadence to remove blockers and optimize execution.

How do you turn a co-build or co-innovation initiative into a field-ready sales motion?

I translate technical capabilities into a clear customer problem, target persona, qualification criteria, proof points, and repeatable sales playbook. I would validate the motion with selected field teams and partner sellers, capture feedback, and refine messaging, enablement, and incentives before scaling.

What metrics would you use to assess the health and impact of a technology alliance?

I would track partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline, closed revenue, win rate, sales-cycle impact, active opportunities, field adoption, enablement completion, joint campaign performance, marketplace activity, and partner-program funding utilization. The metric mix would be tied to agreed business objectives rather than activity alone.

How do you manage competing priorities across global regions while maintaining a consistent alliance strategy?

I establish a global framework with common goals, messaging, account-selection principles, and reporting, then let regions tailor execution to local market conditions. Regular reviews with regional leaders and the partner team help prioritize high-impact opportunities and surface local requirements early.
