Envato is seeking a Tech Lead to provide technical leadership for teams reviewing video templates and motion-graphics assets. The role combines quality assurance, creative-technology expertise, workflow optimization, reviewer enablement, and operational support. The successful candidate will evaluate template functionality across tools such as After Effects, Premiere Pro, and DaVinci Resolve while improving standards and AI-assisted review processes. They will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Content Operations on quality trends, escalations, automation, and responsible AI use. This is a remote-first, full-time role located in Mexico.

I would validate project organization, linked assets, expressions, fonts, plugins, render settings, and version compatibility. I would test the documented customization path with representative content, render outputs in expected formats, and record defects by severity so the reviewer or author can resolve them efficiently.
I would define a shared quality baseline covering functionality, usability, licensing, technical performance, and commercial readiness, then add platform-specific checklists for each application. Calibration sessions, example-based documentation, sampled audits, and trend reporting would keep reviewers aligned as tools and standards evolve.
I would assess accuracy, false-positive and false-negative rates, bias, privacy, copyright exposure, traceability, and the impact on reviewer decisions. I would start with a controlled pilot, preserve human review for consequential judgments, measure outcomes against a baseline, and document clear escalation paths.
I would separate the technical findings from the rights assessment, preserve relevant evidence, and follow the defined licensing and legal escalation process. I would communicate the risk clearly, pause publication if policy requires it, and ensure the final decision and rationale are documented for consistency.
I would categorize defects such as missing dependencies, broken expressions, unsupported plugins, or unclear customization instructions and track their frequency and impact over time. If a pattern emerges, I would prioritize a targeted checklist change, reviewer training, author guidance, or automated pre-check, then measure whether the intervention reduces recurrence.

About the role
Provides technical leadership and operational support to Video Template Review teams. Owns tooling, AI-assisted workflows, technical standards, and review processes that ensure high-quality, scalable, and efficient review of motion graphics, video templates, and related creative assets.
What you’ll be doing
- Review and analysis of video templates, motion graphics, After Effects projects, Premiere Pro templates, DaVinci Resolve templates, and related assets.
- Lead technical upskilling and tooling adoption for Video Template Reviewers.
- Test, deploy, and optimize AI-assisted review workflows for template content.
- Establish and maintain technical review standards across supported software platforms.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to improve template review systems and workflows.
- Monitor quality trends, compatibility issues, and operational risks.
- Support escalations involving template functionality, licensing, copyright, AI-generated content, and technical performance.
- Drive automation and innovation initiatives within Video Template Review operations.
- Ensure ethical and responsible use of AI in template review workflows.
About you
- Strong knowledge of motion graphics, video production, and template-based creative workflows.
- Experience with Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
- Understanding of template structure, expressions, plugins, rendering workflows, and asset dependencies.
- Experience reviewing creative assets for functionality, usability, and commercial quality.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted content creation tools and workflows.
- Ability to translate technical requirements into reviewer guidance and documentation.
- Strong collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Content Operations teams.
