Sample interview questions
How would you approach launching a new fintech ancillary product with an airline partner?

I would start by aligning on the airline's commercial objectives, customer segments, operational constraints, and measurable success metrics. I would then create a joint launch plan covering product requirements, technical integration, governance, UAT, training, communication, and post-launch monitoring. After launch, I would use adoption, conversion, revenue, refund, and customer-feedback data to prioritize improvements.

Describe how you would handle a conflict between an airline partner's requested feature and internal product priorities.

I would first clarify the underlying partner need and quantify the commercial and customer impact. I would share that evidence with product and engineering, explore configurable or phased alternatives, and communicate trade-offs transparently to the partner. The objective is to protect the product strategy while maintaining trust and finding a practical path to value.

Which metrics would you use to assess the health of an airline fintech partnership?

I would track product attach rate, conversion, ancillary revenue, margin, repeat purchase behavior, customer satisfaction, refund or claim rates, implementation reliability, and issue-resolution time. I would also monitor partner engagement, roadmap progress, and performance against agreed success metrics. Metrics should be segmented by market, channel, itinerary, and customer cohort where possible.

Tell us about your process for managing a complex product implementation.

I establish a clear scope, ownership model, timeline, risks, dependencies, and decision-making cadence at the outset. I maintain implementation documentation, run regular cross-functional status reviews, coordinate UAT, and ensure issues are triaged with accountable owners and target dates. I also keep stakeholders informed with concise updates focused on progress, risks, and decisions needed.

How would you use AI prototyping tools or LLMs in this role?

I would use them to rapidly prototype workflow concepts, summarize partner feedback, draft requirements, explore user journeys, and accelerate early validation with internal teams. Outputs would be reviewed for accuracy, security, and alignment with product standards before sharing externally. The goal is faster learning and clearer communication, not replacing sound product judgment or governance.
