Sample interview questions
How would you create an integrated earned and owned strategy for a multi-location enterprise brand?

I would begin with business goals, audience segments, location footprint, current organic performance, and technical-site health. I would then prioritize a roadmap spanning local SEO, scalable location content, technical improvements, authority-building content, and measurement, with clear ownership and forecasted impact for each workstream.

How do you incorporate AI-search changes into an SEO and content strategy?

I focus on strengthening the underlying signals that support visibility across evolving search experiences: technically accessible content, clear entity coverage, first-party expertise, structured information, and useful answers to high-intent questions. I monitor SERP and referral changes, test emerging opportunities, and adjust priorities based on measurable impact rather than assumptions.

Describe how you would communicate a complex organic-growth plan to an executive client audience.

I would frame the plan around the client’s commercial objectives, key risks, growth opportunities, and expected outcomes. The presentation would use a concise narrative, prioritized recommendations, milestones, decision points, and a transparent measurement framework, while reserving technical detail for supporting documentation.

What metrics would you use to assess an enterprise local SEO program?

I would combine visibility and business metrics, including non-branded local rankings, local-pack presence, impressions, qualified organic sessions, calls or lead actions, location-page engagement, conversion rate, and revenue or pipeline where attribution is available. I would also monitor operational indicators such as listing accuracy, review trends, indexation, and technical health.

Tell us about a time you had to align multiple marketing disciplines around one growth initiative.

I would establish a shared business outcome, define the role and dependencies of each channel, and create a common operating cadence with decision-makers. By using a unified roadmap, transparent reporting, and clear escalation paths, I would ensure teams can coordinate efficiently while maintaining accountability for their respective deliverables.
