Sample interview questions
I would begin with segmentation based on product adoption, business maturity, use cases, and renewal risk. I would connect each product's capabilities to measurable customer outcomes, establish clear expansion triggers, and equip account teams with persona-specific messaging, proof points, and adoption plans.
I combine customer willingness-to-pay research, competitive benchmarking, usage and adoption data, sales feedback, and unit economics. I define packaging around differentiated value rather than feature volume, test assumptions with buyers and the field, and monitor win rates, discounting, expansion, and retention after launch.
I synthesize CRM data, deal interviews, RFP patterns, and seller feedback to identify recurring decision criteria and competitive gaps. I then prioritize a focused response through differentiated messaging, battlecards, objection handling, proof assets, and product feedback, measuring impact through win rate and field adoption.
I would set a measurement framework spanning awareness, sales readiness, pipeline influence, activation, feature adoption, time to value, retention, and expansion. I would review qualitative customer and seller feedback alongside product telemetry to identify where messaging, enablement, onboarding, or the product experience needs adjustment.
I would first clarify the audience, their current workflow, and the business outcome they need to achieve. During the demo, I would tell a concise use-case story, adapt the path to the prospect's priorities, explain tradeoffs candidly, and connect each capability to governance, speed, personalization, or operational impact.
About this role.
What is Contentstack?
Contentstack is redefining how modern digital experiences are built and managed. As the pioneer of the Agentic Experience Platform (AXP), Contentstack brings together structured content and brand governance (Content Cloud), real-time customer data, omnichannel personalization (Data Cloud) and autonomous AI orchestration (Agent OS) into one unified system.
While many organizations adopted headless CMS or standalone AI tools expecting transformation, they often found themselves managing disconnected systems and manual workflows. Contentstack helps enterprises move beyond that complexity by connecting content, data and AI in a way that makes digital experiences faster to launch, easier to manage and more adaptive in real time.
Leading brands including Steve Madden, LG Electronics, Subaru of America, Dolce & Gabbana, ASICS, Decathlon, and Caesars Entertainment rely on Contentstack to reduce operational friction and deliver personalized, scalable digital experiences with confidence. The company is known for its customer-first culture and commitment to the communities it serves through the Contentstack Cares program.

What Are We Looking For?
We are seeking an experienced and commercially-minded Sr. Product Marketing Manager to own the commercial strategy for Content Cloud, including our headless CMS, Assets (our DAM), and Launch. This is the largest revenue base in our portfolio and the product line where many of our customers begin their Contentstack journey.
This is a senior-level individual contributor role with significant ownership and influence. You’ll own the product line end to end, including positioning, packaging, launches, buyer narratives, pricing, competitive strategy, and field readiness. You’ll also help raise the bar for the broader product marketing team without directly managing them and serve as a strategic resource when the function lead is unavailable.
The role has a strong commercial focus. You’ll help protect and grow our largest installed base, drive expansion from CMS into Assets and Launch, and shape how we compete in highly competitive enterprise markets. You’ll also help evolve our story as Contentstack moves toward agentic experiences, using customer insights, market intelligence, and adoption data to continuously improve our strategy.
Contentstack is an AI-forward company, and we bring practical experience using AI tools and technologies to improve how we work, learn, solve problems, and drive impact. If you’re excited by the opportunity to own a significant product line, shape how we compete in the market, and make a measurable commercial impact, we’d love to hear from you! Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Own the commercial strategy for Content Cloud, including positioning, packaging, launches, buyer narratives, and field readiness.
- Own the renewal and expansion narrative for our largest installed base, including opportunities to grow adoption of Assets and Launch.
- Lead competitive strategy, including battlecards, win/loss insights, enterprise RFP/RFI support, and translating competitive deal intelligence into product strategy.
- Own pricing, packaging, ICP, and core value propositions, partnering closely with Sales, Product, and Marketing.
- Define and measure adoption goals for launches, using data and customer feedback to improve go-to-market strategies.
- Bring the voice of the customer and market into our strategy through regular customer conversations, analyst briefings, and competitive research.
- Represent Contentstack externally through live demos, webinars, customer roundtables, ContentCon, and other market-facing opportunities.
- Raise the bar for the product marketing team through mentorship, collaboration, and strategic leadership without direct management responsibility.
What Really Gets Us Excited About You?
- 8-12 years of B2B SaaS product marketing experience, including at least 4 years marketing a headless CMS, DXP, DAM, or content infrastructure product. Deep category experience is critical.
- Hands-on enterprise DAM or content management experience, including familiarity with RFPs and complex enterprise buying processes.
- Proven experience owning pricing and packaging for a product line and confidently defending your commercial decisions.
- You can demo a product live and unscripted without relying on a sales engineer. This will be tested during the interview process.
- Experience positioning against enterprise incumbents and challengers, with a track record of applying lessons from both wins and losses.
- A demonstrated track record of driving adoption after launch, using data to understand what worked and what needs to change.
- Strong communication, executive presence, and influence skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders across Product, Sales, Marketing, and the executive team.
- Additional experience with DAM, retail/commerce, developer audiences, partner ecosystems, product-led growth, or answer engine/search optimization is a plus.
- You like occasional travel
- You value a collaborative, fun culture!
Salary for this role ranges between $155,000-175,000 based on skill set and experience
