Sample interview questions
I would begin with a discovery session to confirm business outcomes, stakeholders, workflows, constraints, and success metrics. I would translate these into a phased adoption plan with clear owners, milestones, risks, and regular executive and working-level review cadences.
I would identify the root cause through direct discussion and delivery data, such as unclear ownership, training gaps, technical blockers, or shifting priorities. I would then agree on a recovery plan with specific actions, accountable owners, revised milestones, and frequent progress reviews while escalating material risks internally as needed.
I have worked with risk and compliance-oriented workflows and understand how frameworks such as SOC 1/2, ISO 27001, PCI, HIPAA, and NIST drive evidence collection, control testing, and stakeholder coordination. I use that context to configure onboarding around customers' real operational and assurance requirements.
I prioritize work according to implementation stage, customer impact, delivery risk, and committed milestones. I maintain transparent project plans and communication cadences, reserve time for proactive risk management, and reset expectations early when dependencies could affect delivery.
I would document feedback with the affected workflow, user impact, frequency, desired outcome, and supporting examples. I would synthesize recurring themes, validate them with customers where appropriate, and share prioritized insights with Product and Engineering so they can make informed roadmap decisions.
