Sample interview questions
How do you build a pipeline for a new commercial territory?

I define the ideal customer profile, segment target accounts by fit and potential, research relevant business triggers, and run coordinated outreach across email, phone, partners, and events. I review conversion data regularly and adjust activity toward the segments producing qualified opportunities.

Describe how you run a discovery call with a prospective enterprise customer.

I prepare around the account's business model and likely technical environment, then use open questions to understand priorities, pain points, stakeholders, current process, and decision criteria. I summarize the impact in the customer's language and agree on a clear next step tied to their evaluation process.

How do you manage an opportunity involving several decision-makers?

I map the buying committee early, identify each stakeholder's priorities and influence, and create a mutual action plan with responsibilities and dates. I tailor value messages for technical, business, and procurement audiences while maintaining one transparent view of progress in the CRM.

What steps do you take to deliver accurate sales forecasts?

I qualify opportunities against measurable criteria such as business pain, authority, timeline, competition, and confirmed next steps. I update stage, close date, risks, and deal plan after meaningful interactions rather than relying on optimism or activity volume.

How would you position an enterprise software solution against an established competitor?

I would avoid generic feature comparisons and first validate the customer's specific outcomes, constraints, and risks. I would then connect differentiated capabilities to those outcomes through a tailored demonstration, relevant proof points, and a practical adoption plan.
