As a Pre-Sales Consultant in the UK, you will be responsible for supporting the Sales team throughout the sales cycle in order to promote the functional & technical features and benefits of the Granicus platform suit. Β You will be instrumental in supporting the development of existing accounts as well as the acquisition of new client accounts by demonstrating our products at pre-sales and post-sale meetings and supporting our formal responses to functional & technical clarifications and tenders. You will also assist with the coordination of tenders to help ensure they are completed and submitted on time.

What You’ll Do:

  • Learn the full suite of the Granicus platform and grow into the role of Pre-Sales Consultant
  • Assist the sales team in the qualification of customer needs and pre demo requirements analysis.
  • Develop and deliver effective demonstrations of Granicus solutions that convey how they will contribute to achieving client goals.
  • Build custom demonstrations and proof of concepts (POC) against client requirements.
  • Support the sales and marketing teams at customer events.
  • Support the sales team with functional & technical qualifications, acting as a bridge with internal teams where required.
  • Assist with the coordination of formal tenders to ensure all activities are completed by stakeholders and tenders are submitted within agreed timescales. This would include Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP), Pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQ), Invitations to Tender (ITT) and other tender process stages.
  • Contribute to formal tender responses, providing written responses to functional & technical questions.
  • Support the configuration and management of the pre‐sales environments across our product suit to ensure they positively demonstrate all features and benefits.
  • Support the development and maintenance of our response knowledge base.
  • Product documentation and videos.
  • Help support the training and enablement of new sales team members.
  • Help create reports and dashboards within the internal CRM.

  • Strong verbal, presentation, and professional written communications skills for tender responses are a must.
  • Strong ability to quickly comprehend and explain technical concepts in simple, effective terms to a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to translate technical and business requirements into deliverable solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple teams to demonstrate a tailored value proposition i.e -development, consultants, project team and customer success.
  • Track record of continuous learning and solution-finding.
  • Ability to apply solutions, technology and products to a business opportunity.
  • Strong organisational, communications and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of Local Government, Central Government, or wider public sector preferable.
  • Knowledge of customer services environments preferable.
  • Knowledge and experience in cloud-based or SaaS platforms.
  • Knowledge and experience of CRM, E-forms, Web Portals, CMS, Engagement/Consultation Tools, or email communication tools preferable.
  • An understanding of system integrations and databases preferable.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent business or technical education required.
  • One or more years of pre-sales experience is mandatory.
  • While Granicus supports flexible working and many client sessions are now via remote video conference, there is a requirement to attend the London office for meetings and travel UK wide including Ireland with some overnight trips where needed. This may include occasional visits to the US.
Salary range is Β£40,000 – Β£65,000 + commission + benefits.
