During the next video interview, should I ask about expected response times or the number of recurring meetings to judge day-to-day availability more accurately? Which question is more likely to reveal whether the flexibility is real?

Ask about response-time norms first, because they expose whether “flexible” includes protected offline hours. For example: “If someone is offline for six hours, what response is expected for routine requests?” If the answer is vague, ask for a typical week’s recurring meeting schedule next.
