Power and Renewable Energy Broker

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Power and Renewable Energy team at Marsh. This role will be based in the London office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office however additional attendance will be expected during the initial probation period.

We will count on you to:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships and develop strategic partnerships with key insurers whilst negotiating to achieve the best terms and deliver a first class service for clients

  • Act as the reference point for advice and technical expertise to the internal client servicing teams

  • Provide recommendations and advice on placement strategy, programme structure and market conditions including occasional presentations to clients where appropriate

  • Fully document all quotations received and advise the Client Servicing team of all conditions

  • Attend client and insurer meetings in partnership with the client service team

  • Build strong relationships with insurers and seek feedback on Marsh’s service through ongoing dialogue

  • Contribute to rolling risk management strategy with clients and insurers

  • Maintain a detailed understanding of changing market condition and understand and comply with all compliance, professional and transparency standards to better serve clients

What you need to have: 

  • Proven experience of commercial insurance within either an Exec or Broker capacity

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple enquiries simultaneously

  • A good awareness of clients’ business, their business issues, insurance programmes and service plans

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Confidence to advise and negotiate.

  • The ability to build, manage and develop relationships.
