Dear Hiring Team,

I am excited to apply for the Head of Communication position at Leadtech Group. With over 10 years of experience in strategic communications, I have successfully led internal and external initiatives during periods of organizational change, including mergers and acquisitions. My background aligns perfectly with your need for a leader who can both define strategy and execute hands-on, particularly during the partial sale process.

I have a proven track record in corporate reputation management, employer branding, and social media strategy, having built and mentored high-performing teams. I am adept at using data-driven insights to shape narratives and manage crises, ensuring consistent messaging across all stakeholders.

I am drawn to the opportunity to contribute to Leadtech's growth and transformation. I look forward to the possibility of discussing how my skills can support your team. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely, [Your Name]

How would you design an internal communication strategy to manage uncertainty during a partial sale process?
I would start by mapping stakeholders (affected vs. unaffected teams) and tailoring messaging to each group. Key channels would include all-hands meetings, intranet updates, and direct emails. I'd focus on transparency, frequent updates, and addressing concerns proactively, while aligning with legal and HR to ensure consistency.
Describe a time you managed a corporate reputation crisis. What was your approach?
In a previous role, a product defect led to negative press. I activated the crisis plan: assembled a response team, developed key messages, designated a spokesperson, and monitored social media in real-time. We issued a public apology and transparent updates, which helped rebuild trust within weeks.
How would you differentiate employer branding strategies for multiple brands under one group?
I would first analyze each brand's culture and employee value proposition through surveys and interviews. Then, I'd create distinct but aligned narratives: for example, one brand might emphasize innovation while another highlights work-life balance. Channels and content (e.g., employee testimonials, videos) would be customized per brand.
What metrics would you use to measure the success of a social media strategy for employer branding?
Key metrics include engagement rate, reach, follower growth, qualified lead generation (e.g., applications from LinkedIn), sentiment analysis, and Glassdoor ratings. I'd also track share of voice against competitors and conduct periodic employer brand perception surveys.
How do you ensure alignment between corporate communications and marketing for product promotion?
I would establish regular cross-functional meetings with marketing leads to align on messaging calendars and brand guidelines. A shared editorial calendar and approval process would ensure consistency. Additionally, I'd create a central repository of key messages and tone of voice for reference.
